While the Thai group Minor Hotels has undergone significant external growth in recent years, with the acquisition of NH Hotel Group in October 2018, a name change became necessary to better present the group's unity on all continents (read our interview with Ian Di Tullio, Global COO, Minor Hotels, conducted by Vanessa Guerrier-Buisine during ILTM 2023).
At their last general meeting, held last Friday, Minor Hotels' shareholders approved the necessary change of name from NH Hotel Group to Minor Hotels Europe & Americas, reflecting the group's global presence, both in Asia and the West.
With all its hotels united under the Minor Hotels banner, the group is forging a strong identity that will support its growth strategy across all its eight brands: Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas, Avani Hotels & Resorts, Elewana Collection, NH Hotels & Resorts, NH Collection Hotels & Resorts, nhow Hotels & Resorts, Oaks Hotels, Resorts & Suites and Tivoli Hotels & Resorts.
In recent years, the Western brands NH and NH Collection have been introduced in Asia, the Middle East and the Indian Ocean. Minor Hotels opened hotels under the Anantara, Avani and Tivoli brands in Europe and the United States.
Today, Minor Hotels Europe & Americas has more than 350 establishments in 30 countries in Europe and America, and has major ambitions, with more than 200 planned openings by the end of 2026, including more than 50 in Europe.
As for the group as a whole, it currently has over 80,000 rooms in more than 540 hotels in 56 countries
