Located in Myoko City, Niigata Prefecture, Japan, the luxury boutique resort has opened its ski season on December 15.
Lotte Arai Resort, which opened in December 2017 after a large-scale renovation, is a ski resort and complex equipped with some of the world's best facilities. With high mountains and heavy precipitation, Niigata Prefecture in the northeastern part of Japan is widely known not only as the origin of skiing in Japan but also as the backdrop of the novel "Snow Country (Yukiguni)" by Yasunari Kawabata, who won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1968.

The resort offers a total of 14 courses spread out in the 15,700,000m2 area, with the longest course at 5.2 km.
