The success of Ultima Gstaad is growing fast and to assist our General Manager in driving the hotel operations we are looking for a EAM on a full time and permanent employment contract.
Position requirements
Assists the General Manager in the day-to-day operations
Replaces the General Manager in him/her absence and drive the hotel business
Cooperates with the General Manager in the selection and the recruitment of new employees
Coordinates with the HR department the pre/on boarding process related to the arrival of new comers
Coordinates with the Technical Service and Housekeeping departments for the maintenance and check of all staff houses
Provides training regarding Ultima Collection’s standards and “service signature” to the employees
Manages with all HOD’s the daily rosters and following the hotel activities
Controls the over time, days off during the season and tracks the balance regularly to avoid any over balances at the end of each season
Conducts morning meetings in absence of the GM and daily HOD meetings
Ensures general cleanliness, orderliness, and appearance of the whole property
Performs regular hotel inspections and daily checks of all areas
Collaborates and enhance with the HOD’s the development and implementation of systems and procedures
Monitors any issues, guests and staff complaints in a timely fashion
Participates in the service recovery process
Assists the General Manager with the management of cash flow and ensures its correct and efficient handling
Ensures accurate and appropriate handling of reservations, oral and written communication with guests, Protel reservations, occupancy limits, city taxes and billing
Coordinates the Reservation and Yield reports with the Front Office Manager, along with all the reporting asked by the General Manager
Ensures guest-focus orientation and guests’ satisfaction by all employees and departments
Collaborates with all departments in ensuring an unforgettable stay for all guests
Ensures perfect and efficient communication between all departments
Background and soft skills for the role
High diploma in Hospitality industry (MBA Hotel Industry)
5 years experiences within 5* hotels, Luxury Properties
Strong knowledge of the expectations and demands of high-end guests
Knowledge of the standards and procedures of luxury establishments (rooms division and F&B)
French and English (oral and written) mandatory. A third language is an asset (German/Swiss German, Arabic, Russian)
In-depth knowledge of the activities and experiences of the region (gastronomic, cultural and outdoor) is a plus
IT tools (Office Pack) competencies
Strong managerial skills, leadership and entrepreneurship
Commercial acumen and ability to interfere with Ultra-High-Net-Worth Individuals
Flexibility and mobility to travel if required by the company
