Chef(fe) de partie - seasonal contract / contrat saisonnier (M/F)
SEASONAL CONTRACT OF 9 MONTHS STARTING NOVEMBER 2019
Successful candidat will supervise the kitchen team, assist the sous-chef with job trials and stock takes. You will deliver a high standard of service and respect food and safety procedure. Must be flexible to work all shifts to include weekends and holidays.
Assist the sous-chef with the control all kitchen costs and achieve the set budgets.
Inspect daily, all fresh food received to ensure the quality is maintained.
Ensure that the goods return book is properly filled in, stating why, how much, date and invoice number
Check food preparation on a daily basis, individual costs, quality, quantity and portion control.
Keep all lines of communication open within the kitchen environment, maintaining cooperation between kitchen and service, and all other departments.
Have previous experience in a similar position in a luxury hotel or restaurant.
Have a good knowledge and passion for food
Ability to communicate in English and French with hotel guests, suppliers, and employees to their understanding. Additional foreign language skills a plus.
Ability to memorize orders.
Ability to handle the stress inherent in interacting with co-employees and resolving guests’ problems.
Ability work under pressure, be organized, self-motivated and work well with others.
Ability to complete work in a timely, accurate and thorough manner.
