General Manager, Coworking (M/F)


The Hoxton & Working From_ is making its way to Brussels!

In February/March 2023, we’ll be opening our first hotel and co-working space in the city of Brussels and we’re looking for an experienced General Manager (Working From_) to play a crucial part in successfully bringing our concepts to the market.

The hotel boasts 198 bedrooms of different sizes, a large restaurant and coffee shop, a rooftop restaurant and bar with views across the city and The Apartment (our unique meetings & events concept).

Working From_ brings our unique approach to co-working to Brussels. Our 3rd global location features double height windows, a mixture of memberships and office spaces, open kitchen pantries and transparent policies.
What you’ll do…
  • You will be responsible for the strategic overview of the business and involved in the Brand and PR led initiatives.
  • Oversee the operation on the ground and report directly into the Hotel General Manager.
  • You will be the first point of contact with the key members of the team to ensure operational sales targets and retention levels are being achieved and assist in the process of membership sales as and when required.
  • You be will responsible for achieving financial targets, forecasting monthly revenue, and reporting on month end performance.
  • Attend Hotel Operational meetings as and when required and work closely with the Hotel team on crossover operations and building specific systems.
  • Work closely with the Brand team to assist in developing an eclectic programming and social events calendar for our members.
  • You set the tone and bear the role of standard bearer for all team members.
  • Monitors the team members and member satisfaction and initiates action to correct and direct.
  • Monitors individual house financials and initiates action when required.
  • Oversees development and maintenance of quality service standards by conducting ongoing evaluations and working with the team to establish Standard Operating Procedures and to encourage their training and development.
  • Maintains an appropriate level of involvement with local arts and cultural community to help cultivate relationships that are on brand and help promote our mission.
  • Develops accurate and aggressive short and long term financial objectives that are consistent with company goals.
  • Prepares financial reports for management that clearly explain operational effectiveness, trends and variances.
  • Establishes and maintains a progressive culture through human resource support function that helps ensure that team members are motivated and developed.
  • Oversite of day-to-day operations of the facility, ensuring that all departments are functioning at high level, ensuring 360 degrees of hospitality to all members.
  • Identifies and helps establish and execute marketing, sales, and operational objectives producing results that exceed business expectations.
  • Helps to plan and organizes the work of different departments within the space.
  • Explains house needs to, relies on, works with, clears the path for, and sets expectations for all team members.
  • Promotes and helps create a culture of curiosity.
  • Accepts full responsibility for his/her home.
  • Works with Senior Leadership Team to create new Strategies to promote and execute on brand objectives.
  • To maintain a high member service focus by approaching your job with the needs of the members in mind.
  • To have a positive impact, taking responsibility and initiative to resolve issues, always clearly communicating with both members and colleagues.
  • To be decisive, accepting responsibility for making things happen, thinking ahead and developing contingency plans (while ensuring that you have the support to get the job done.)
  • To be motivated and committed, approaching all tasks with enthusiasm and seizing opportunities to learn new skills or knowledge in order to improve your performance.
  • To be flexible, responding quickly and positively to changing environments.
  • To develop a profitable business that aims to design and deliver a series of experiences, spaces and amenities conceived to attract, inspire and support entrepreneurs

  • You to have General Management experience of 5 years + or similar Private Members experience
  • You’re a natural born leader that inspires.

  • You have experience in budgeting and forecasting
