Duties and Responsibilities
Six Senses Vision & Values
  • Fully understand and embrace Six Senses company vision and values and its application in all tasks associated with the host’s duty.
  • Adhere to all Six Senses brand standards ensuring successful communication across all levels of the operation.

  •  Empowered to and applies the principles of the Six Senses Service Recovery philosophy in situations where service or product has failed to meet guest’s needs or expectations.
  •  Contribute to the morale and team spirit of the resort by maintaining effective relationships with colleagues.
  •  Perform additional duties as directed by supervisors. These may include duties at any Six Senses Resorts & Spas property.
  •  Make appropriate suggestions and recommendations to supervisors for the general improvement of the resort.
  •  Be fully conversant with all health and safety, fires and emergency procedures.
  •  Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene, dress, uniform, and body language.
  •  Be polite and professional in any situation where the image or reputation of the hotel is represented.
  •  Attend meetings and training as required by supervisors.
  •  Ensure that all activities are carried out honestly, ethically, and within the parameters of local law.
  •  Directs and controls all subordinate housekeeping hosts to ensure that all day to day operational matters are handled on time and guest expectations are met.
  •  Inspect daily VIP allocated rooms and to spot check rooms of In-house VIP guest.
  •  Coordinates with front office to ensure that rooms are serviced according to guest requirements, and that adequate vacant clean rooms are available to sell.
  •  Conducts frequent checks of rooms and adopts a hands-on approach towards cleaning helping the Housekeeping Hosts achieve daily quotas and standards, public areas and heart of house areas, ensuring service procedures, standards of cleanliness and hygiene, repair and maintenance, host grooming, and manning levels are in order and takes appropriate action where necessary.
  •  Assists in inventory control, purchasing, and disbursement for all aspects of housekeeping operations.
  •  Assists in monitoring the standard of work carried out by contractors engaged by the resort to ensure it meets the agreed quality.
  •  Monitors and controls Housekeeping tasks such as lost and found, key control procedures, security and emergency schedule in order to ensure security of hosts and guests.
  •  Coordinates the spring cleaning, heavy cleaning, extra work schedule, maintenance requisition of all rooms and public areas with Executive Housekeeper and ensures such schedules are followed.
  • Assists in the preparation of duty rosters, vacation planning and scheduling and public holiday scheduling.
  •  Assists in the maintenance of efficient administration of the Housekeeping Department.
  •  Assists in the selection training and evaluation of subordinate hosts.
  • Coaches, counsels, disciplines and develops subordinate hosts.

Position Requirements
  • Secondary education completed with some technical or certification training preferred.

Work Experience:
  • Three or more years progressive housekeeping managerial experience in a luxury lifestyle brand or Yachting Industry.
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is acceptable.

Technical Skills:
  • The incumbent should possess business leadership.
  • Microsoft Office application literacy.
  • Cross-cultural work environments exposure.
  • Critical problem analysis/resolution skills.
  • Knowledge and experience in the purchasing and productions process and is equally versed in global distribution.
  • English with ability to communicate clearly.
  • Knowledge as well as abilities in other languages would be beneficial.

Work Environment
  • Heavy lifting of materials up to 10lbs may be required.
  • Must be able to work under a deadline.
