JOB DESCRIPTION
The Marketing Manager Paris position has the responsibility to manage the core marketing programs designed to generate targeted revenue for the hotels included in the Paris Cluster and Market. Provides marketing, project management and communication support to the Paris hotels. Supports the development and execution of marketing, advertising, direct marketing, promotions, and collateral across leisure, meetings & events, business transient, premium & retail segments, and sales support. Responsibilities also include the supervision of brand consistency standards at a cluster level, and individual hotel marketing communications. The role would also support the execution of existing and new partnerships for the Paris hotels, as well as support PR and e-Marketing efforts.
Key goals to generate profitable revenue to increase RevPar, Market Share and Brand Awareness for participating hotels in the cluster, with marketing efforts and initiatives based on need-time and demand generation opportunities.
This position reports to the Market DOSM Paris, with a dotted line to the Director of Field Marketing Western Europe

1) Ensure pull through of relevant national marketing programs, channels, platforms, and initiatives
  • Ensure corporate, cluster and/or regional marketing programs are pulled through at the property level
  • Ensure brand marketing communications and identity standards are maintained at the cluster and property level
  • Maximize the potential of established marketing vehicles within Marriott: Marriott Rewards, MEOs, email, METT etc…
  • Work closely with Marketing and communication manager to:
  • Develop e-Marketing and paid on-line advertising strategies for stakeholder properties (e.g. Retargeting and Social Medias, Marketing modules) maximizing on-line marketing opportunities (e.g. Cvent, Starcite) and other digital media and Marriott e-tools (i.e. Essentials)
  • Assure that content, photography, promotions and packages, and local links on hotel websites on Marriott.com are up to date and fully utilized by hotels across the region
  • Leverage e-Channel cluster/market marketing and promotional opportunities to drive need-time business with Cluster e-Commerce Manager, and/or e-Channels manager and Revenue Management.  
    2) Develop and implement property and market based plans based on local need-time and demand generation opportunities
  • Work with partners to identify new marketing opportunities in alignment with strategic direction
  • Work with revenue management partner to develop relevant promotions and packages  for the Paris cluster
  • Research, present, and implement upon approval, new opportunities for group, catering, and transient business (and other outlets as applicable).
 
3) Additional Key Contributors
  • Support sales events and actions with relevant communications and support materials
  • Complete Measurement/Reporting  with appropriate KPIs shared on a regular basis with stakeholders
 
4) Technical Expertise
Sales and Marketing:  Focuses on building each unit’s top line revenue by executing against the sales & marketing strategy.  Identifies and aggressively solicits marketing opportunities.  Implement marketing programs in all segments to maximize revenue potential. Achieves individual goals and contributes to cluster goals.

  • Supports in the development and execution of the annual Paris marketing plan.

  • Identifies strategic promotional opportunities for hotel, cluster or France wide
  • Develops promotions briefs prior to promotions launches, ensures solicitation from hotels for participation, and ensures communication to all constituents (to include hotels, central reservations, and customer support)

Skills and Knowledge
  • Project Management skills with an ability to multi-tasking
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Good communications and presentation skills
  • Motivated, independent self-starter with a high willingness to learn new skills
  • Able to effectively prioritize multiple tasks for multiple properties
  • Knowledge of food and beverage marketing trends
  • Fluent French and English required 
Education or Certification
  • University degree in marketing discipline preferred
