PROFIL RECHERCHÉ JOB SUMMARY
Mr Hospitality is actively searching for a motivated Pastry Cook! The Pastry Cooks responsibilities include preparing quality pastry items created by the Head Pastry Chef, such as desserts, breads, ice creams, sorbets, creams, simple syrups, amenities, displays/centerpieces and special request items, as well as helping keep the kitchen run smoothly. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in culinary arts with a passion for sweet and delicious creations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment; use equipment and tools only as intended, properly and safely
Maintain and strictly abide by state sanitation/health regulations and restaurant requirements
Meet with the Pastry Chef to review assignments, anticipated business levels, changes and other information pertinent to the job
Inspect the cleanliness and working conditions of all tools, equipment and supplies
Check production schedule and par in order to establish priority items for the day
Prepare all menu items following recipes and yield guides, according to departmental
Executing pastry orders and accommodating special
Demonstrating skill in baking pastries, desserts, cakes, cookies, sweets, and
Creating enticing confectionery decorations and delicious pastry fillings, as well as keeping abreast of new pastry baking
Applying classic pastry baking techniques when preparing traditional
Adding novel, creative, and delicious pastry items to the existing
Monitoring equipment and ensuring all specialized pastry baking tools are in working
REQUIREMENTS:
Proficient in English or Spanish is a plus
Ability to stand on your feet for several hours
High School diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate
Certification of culinary training or apprenticeship
Demonstrates adequate pastry skills and operations
Be able to plan and prepare for restaurant, catering and special event
