Sales executive (reactive) (M/F)

The Sales Executive handles the Group and Catering activity respecting timelines and service delivery in accordance with hotel and brand standards.
Working within the Sales Department and in relation with the Marriott Shared services, the Sales Executive aims to optimize the hotel revenue, to follow the organization of events/groups and to build customer loyalty.
The Sales Executive is responsible for ensuring a smooth communication between the Hotel and the Sales & Marketing department and provide support to all activities related to Digital, Communication, Brand Standards, Sales and Marketing.
Candidate Profile

Previous Position requirement 
  • Min 1-2 years’ experience in hospitality industry (sales call and event)
  • Work Experience and Knowledge in hospitality industry (for example Reception, Event, Sales or Revenue)
  • The candidate must be fluent in French and English (speaking and writing); a third language is a plus.

Major Responsibilities

  • Responsible of the on-site management of hotel groups/events
  • Coordinate on site Groups/events activities in collaboration with Sales and Operational departments.
  • Ensure that all necessary information about the event is obtained, communicate information to the Hotel departments and is the main point of contact for clients.
  • Ensure effective communication is maintained.
  • Proof reading of marketing / advertising material as required.
  • Ensure all collaterals meet the requirements of brand standards
  • Support department heads in promoting the revenue generating activities
  • Take responsibility and support any departmental projects as directed by the Manager
  • Ability to understand hotel sales strategy
  • Answer guest questions about property facilities/services
  • Conduct site visits and building successful relationships
  • Develop guests loyalty and prospect new targets if necessary
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others
  • Support team to reach common goals
  • Listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees
  • Promote awareness of brand image internally and externally.  
  • Provides an efficient and effective process to quickly handle customer inquiries within hotel standards 
  • Elaborates contracts and gets them approved by the customer
  • Organizes, participate and Follow-up on-site inspections
  • Data base creation, development and keep it update
  • Maintain all sales and marketing documentation accuracy
  • Use and promote the recommended Marriott tools, programs and standards
  • Participate to the sales strategy meeting when necessary/requested by the Direction
  • As the event contact, communicates all information to the Marriott Shared services and update it in the system
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Managers (operational, administrative, digital, communication or marketing requests)
  • Drives customer satisfaction through daily interactions (e.g., solicitations, re-solicitations, account calls, new business calls, face to face activities, etc.).
  • Understands and utilizes all business Marriott processes written in support of the sales organization.
  • Handles customer care issues and as necessary, refers them to the appropriate Manager

  • Knowledge of analytical skill, operation and associated challenges
  • Knowledge of the competition and hotelier environment
