Director of Operations - Hotel Martinez : This is a great opportunity to join the brand new Hotel Martinez, member of the Unbound Collection by Hyatt, as our new Director of Operations ! This 409 rooms property, including 99 suites has also 15 meetings room representing 2500m2 of flexible meeting space. The property features, 5 food and beverage outlets (4 restaurants, including the 2 star Michelin restaurant La Palme d’Or and a bar), a private beach of 3000m2 and the Spa L-Raphael. As Director of Operations you will be responsible for all aspects of day-to-day operations at the hotel, provide leadership and strategic planning to all operational departments, support our Hyatt culture, and maximize the operations & guest satisfaction. You will work closely with the General Manager.
As Director of Operations, you will :
In charge day-to-day operations
Oversee the operations functions of the hotel, as per organizational chart
Manage on-going profitability of the hotel, ensuring that revenue and guest satisfaction targets are met and exceeded
Lead regular meetings with all heads of departments
Ensure full compliance with hotels operational policies, procedures and service standards at all time
Lead all key property issues including capital projects and customer service
Deeply involved in the preparation, presentation and subsequent achievement of the hotel’s annual Operating Budget and Capital Budget
Own a strong understanding of P&L statements and the ability to react with impactful strategies
Ensure that monthly financial outlooks for rooms, F&B are on target and accurate
Act as a decision maker in hiring staff members
Coordinate with hotel’s management team the execution of all activities and functions
Provide effective leadership to hotel team members to ensure career progression and development
Respond to audits to ensure continual improvement and achievement
Lead in all aspects of business planning
Corporate client handling and take part in new client acquisition along with the sales team whenever required
Strong experience within hotels operations, with minimum 2 years as Director of Operations is required. Hyatt experience will be a plus.
Highly developed level of communication skills (oral and written) in French and English. A third language will be a plus.
Expect national and international travel activity
Excellent organizational and time management skills
