Duties and Responsibilities
Six Senses Vision & Values
  • Fully understand and embrace Six Senses company vision and values and its application in all tasks associated with the host’s duty.
  • Adhere to all Six Senses brand standards ensuring successful communication across all levels of the operation.
  • Ensure that all reservation requests are replied efficiently by the reservations department, work closely with the reservations manager.
  • Supervise and oversee the Receptionist & Housekeeping teams and liaise with the Concierge desk.
  • Evaluate the Housekeeping performance and Concierge desk and report their progress to superior.
  • Ensure all reservations are entered and updated in the PMS.
  • Ensure all Guest invoices and charges are entered into the PMS/POS systems.
  • Keep control on all reservations allotment and communicate with Housekeeping on any reservations, updates or changes.
  • Ensure the smooth daily Hotel Operation – Reception, Housekeeping, Front desk/Concierge.
  • Work with the concierge team to ensure a smooth operation.
  • Manage and oversee the reception team, coordinate the check in and check out procedures for all guests.
  • In conjunction with the Head Housekeeper, ensure the efficient stock taking and ordering of supplies.
  • Ensure that all correspondences, e-mails and fax for reservations are answered within 24 hours.
  • Prepare monthly operations report to General Manager by latest 1st of the next month
  • Liaise with Reservations on the allocation of rooms.
  • Ensure that the statistical information is all entered and updated in the computer, such as travel agent, commercial etc, occupancy reports.
  • Control room inventory in co-ordination with Reservations dept.
  • Help in the review of work methods and procedures in reservations.
  • Assist the General Manager to achieve the maximum possible occupancy and average room rate to meet forecasted and budgeted figures.
  • Solve complaints from clients regarding reservations/service and take immediate remedy action.
  • To follow all systems and procedures as laid down in the standard operating manual
  • Responsible of the compilation and updating of the SOP’s of the reservation department.
  • Work and implement Six Senses best practice throughout the department with action plan.
  • Monitor and ensure the update of internet reservation system in coordinate with respected colleagues.
  • Conduct any departmental training as per the resort’s training plan.
  • Make daily weekly monthly reservation reports and statistics and ensure they are distributed to the respective departments.
  • Ensure local tourist bed tax is logged correctly, declared with local authority.

  • Ensures high standards of personal appearance, well groomed, hygiene clean and pressed uniforms as described in host handbook are maintained.
  • Complete any other duty assigned by management.
  • Arrive on time in full uniform in accordance with the company grooming guideline.

Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree Hospitality/Hotel Management

Work Experience:
  • Three or more years of experience in a hotel operation or similar environment, yachts.

Technical Skills:
  • Intermediate to Advanced MS Office, Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Familiar with various Hotel booking platforms, CRM, POS systems.
  • Knowledge of hotel/resort’s policies regarding reservations, discounts and detailed procedures in handling local and overseas room bookings.
  • Very good command over written and spoken English.
  • Ability to train and supervise staff and communicate well with management and guests.
  • A sharp mind/ attention to detail to ensure that the vast areas assigned to him/her is well taken care of at all times.
