Radisson Suites Hotel Tucson Airport Features Nearly 12,000 Square Feet of Function Space

Radisson Hotels & Resorts today announced the 204-room hotel located at 7051 South Tucson Boulevard in Tucson, Ariz., has been renamed as the Radisson Suites Hotel Tucson Airport. The hotel was recently converted as part of a plan to reposition the property and includes a renovation to all guestrooms and public areas that began in October 2007.

"Bringing the Radisson Suites Hotel Tucson Airport property under the Radisson brand greatly enhances our presence in the market and enables guests traveling to Tucson the opportunity to take advantage of innovative services the brand offers such as Express Yourself online check-in and share their stay preferences so they can stay their own way" said Nancy Johnson, executive vice president of Franchise Operations for Radisson Hotels & Resorts. "Immediate benefits of the renovation include completely refurbished guest rooms featuring the addition of the custom Sleep Number bed by Select Comfort(R)."

"We are thrilled to be affiliated with Radisson and the advantages it offers -- including business building tools and strategies such as revenue optimization, customer relationship management (CRM), and membership in the patented Look To Book program, the industry's most recognized online incentive program for travel agents," said Lisa Neff, director of Sales for the Radisson Suites Hotel Tucson Airport. "We're also excited to connect our customers with goldpoints plus, Radisson's frequent guest program which was recently re-launched with double the earning potential for members."

The New Radisson Hotel Tucson Airport is located at the entrance to Tucson International Airport and just minutes from many Tucson attractions including Old Tucson Studios, Arizona Sonora Desert Museum, Reid Park Zoo and the Pima Air Museum. The hotel is also close to downtown Tucson, the University of Arizona and Tucson Electric Park -- spring training home to the Arizona Diamondbacks.

"Radisson is quickly earning a reputation as a leader in the global hospitality industry by striving to achieve total guest satisfaction and keeping attune to the needs of today's independent-minded frequent travelers," said Neff.

The hotel features select guest rooms equipped with the custom-designed Sleep Number(R) bed which enables guests to achieve a more deep, restorative night's sleep during their stay. Unlike traditional innerspring mattresses, the firmness of a Sleep Number bed can be adjusted at the touch of a button, allowing individuals to find their individual SLEEP NUMBER(R) -- a number between zero and 100 that represents each person's ideal level of mattress comfort, firmness and support.

The Sleep Number(R) bed is accessorized with customized upscale bedding including crisp, white sheets and cases with dark navy trim, plush feather and down sleeping pillows, a signature duvet, and a color-coordinated bed skirt and decorative, chenille bed runner. The new linen ensemble was designed to provide each guest with luxurious comfort.

All 204 spacious two-room suites have a private bedroom and separate living room with a comfortable sofa bed, armchair and well-lit dining/work table. Other amenities include a wet bar, refrigerator, microwave oven, coffee maker, hair dryer and full sized iron and ironing board. Guests can enjoy a variety of delicious selections at Finnegan's Restaurant and Lounge, the hotel's onsite restaurant, or relax and recharge in the outdoor pool, whirlpool or fitness center. Complimentary wireless high speed Internet access is available throughout the hotel including all guest rooms.

With nearly 12,000 square feet of flexible function space, the Radisson Suites Hotel Tucson Airport can accommodate meetings or parties from ten up to 300. The 4,788 square foot Ballroom Royale provides seating for up to 250 guests and can be divided into three equal sections. The Theater Royale, a tiered symposium amphitheater, is adjacent to the Ballroom and seats up to 100 guests complete with work areas. The Solarium Ballroom opens into the hotel's courtyard and is perfect for cocktail receptions, outdoor dining or wedding ceremonies, providing a unique setting for banquets or meetings of up to 140. In addition to the main ballrooms, the hotel also features five smaller Conference Suites which are perfect for smaller meetings and breakout sessions, or hospitality suites for social occasions.
