The Florida Hotel and Conference Center, one of Central Florida’s premier meeting venues, recently became a member of WORLDHOTELS’ First Class Collection of hotels and resorts. This Florida Certified Green Lodging Resort, ideally connected to the Florida Mall, is now one of only seven properties in Central Florida and the 18th in the state of Florida to be a WORLDHOTELS member. “The Florida Hotel and Conference Center was very appealing to us for not only its wide variety of outstanding accommodations, but also for the superior amenities, Central Florida location and activities offered to create memorable and rewarding guest experiences,” said Tom Griffiths, vice president, WORLDHOTELS, the Americas.

The Florida Hotel and Conference Center masterfully blends luxurious amenities with impeccable service. All 510 spacious guestrooms and suites are outfitted with plush pillow-top beds, 32” LCD wall-mounted televisions, wireless high-speed access, refrigerator, coffee maker and electronic doorbell. Any size meeting or themed event can be accommodated with over 50,000 square-feet of first-class, flexible space, featuring five diverse ballrooms, 13 breakout rooms and four executive boardrooms. In-house audio-visual capabilities, customized banquet menus and expert staff, all ensure a well-orchestrated event. In addition, business travellers will appreciate the close proximity to the Orange County Convention Center, downtown Orlando and Orlando International Airport.

“We are excited to be joining forces with WORLDHOTELS,” said Simone Kuska, corporate director of sales and marketing for The Florida Hotel and Conference Center. “As an independent hotelier, we are now able to expand our market on a global scale by being affiliated with such a world-renowned international brand.” Guests will enjoy indoor shopping at Macy's, Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, Dillard's, JC Penney and Sears or experience over 250 specialty stores. Unwind with a soothing and professional in-room spa treatment, arranged by A-Spa-Of-Your-Own, or workout in the state-of-the-art fitness center, and later stop by the Starbucks® Café for a coffee or dine on American favorites at Cricket’s Grille.
