Renovation Results Lead to Recognition by Doubletree Hotels with Most Improved Quality Award

The Doubletree Hotel Dayton Downtown is celebrating the completion of an expansive multi-million-dollar renovation that has reinvigorated its guest rooms, meeting and banquet space, fitness center, restaurant, and public spaces. As a result of this remarkable transformation, Doubletree Hotels recently presented the hotel with the “Most Improved Quality Award” for 2008. The Doubletree Hotel Dayton Downtown is located in the center of downtown Dayton, and is within a few blocks of many downtown offices, the Dayton Convention Center and some of the region’s most acclaimed restaurants and entertainment in the Oregon Historic District.

The Doubletree Hotel Dayton Downtown is operated by Alliance Hospitality Group, LLC & Family Asset Hospitality Group, LLC under a franchise license agreement with a subsidiary of Hilton Hotels Corporation.

When guests approach the Doubletree Hotel Dayton Downtown, they will immediately notice its eye-catching, brick façade. Built in 1896, the Doubletree is a historic landmark in downtown Dayton. Guests will be welcomed with a lobby that features bright colors, fine porcelain tile flooring and fresh new furnishings in simple, neutral shades.

The hotel’s guest room renovations provide guests with the amenities they desire in today’s upscale hotel experience, such as the Sweet Dreams® by Doubletree sleep experience with plush-top mattress, down comforter, lush linen, and jumbo pillows to ensure a great night’s sleep. All guest rooms also offer wired/wireless high-speed internet access, spacious work areas, 32-inch flat screen LCD televisions, dual line phones with voicemail, stereo alarm clocks with MP3 connectivity, and complimentary gourmet coffee service by Wolfgang Puck®.

The new, stylish guest rooms at the Doubletree Hotel Dayton Downtown also feature a contemporary look which includes: granite finishes, leatherette headboards and an attractive mix of furnishings in gold and blue hues. New window treatments, plush upholstered seating, and attractive framed artwork provide the finishing touches to the hotel’s 156 rooms and 28 suites. Guest bathrooms feature custom-stained cabinetry and millwork, curved shower rods that provide up to 20% more room in the shower, enhanced lighting, and Neutrogena® bath and body products.

The 6,000 square feet of well-appointed meeting space has been enhanced with a more modern décor, providing an ideal setting for corporate meetings. The Daytonian ballroom, which can hold up to 250 people, provides a great location for weddings. The lobby also boasts a 24-hour, self-service business center and an executive lounge, offering VIP guests complimentary breakfast and hors d'oeuvres on weekdays is also available.

The renovations in the hotel’s main restaurant, The Polo Grill, are sure to please guests whether they are enjoying breakfast, lunch or dinner. Before entering the restaurant guests will pass a stunning grand piano. Inside, the restaurant’s new décor features warm, welcoming colors. The new table seating design provides a variety of configurations, and the buffet area facilitates improved access for guests and service staff. A robust menu of delicious American Cuisine rounds out the dining experience. Those guests looking for a more intimate dining experience can also visit the stylish Cricket Lounge. The Cricket Lounge serves a full-menu and provides a relaxed atmosphere where guests can unwind after a long day. Room service is also provided by The Polo Grill.

The Doubletree Hotel Dayton Downtown is also proud to introduce new recreational facilities. The hotel offers the Doubletree brand’s signature Fitness by Precor® facility, which includes premium cardiovascular equipment with personal TV entertainment and strength-training machines.
