The Marina Mandarin Singapore, the only member of
the Leading Hotels of the World in Singapore, is proud to be the recipient of the
Best Business Events Facility and Service Hotel Award at the TravelWeekly (Asia)
Industry Awards 2008 held at Bar None, Marriott Hotel Singapore last night.
A culmination of some 158,000 online votes from readers and industry
professionals, the TravelWeekly (Asia) Industry Awards recognizes some of Asia’s
best and acknowledge their contribution to the tourism industry.
Extensively remodelled in 2005, the Marina Mandarin Singapore has 575
enhanced rooms and suites across four room categories. Apart from its “economy
class” Deluxe Rooms and Suites, “business class” Premier Rooms and Suites and
“first class” Meritus Club Rooms and Suites (TravelWeekly Industry Award 2007’s
Best Executive/Club Floor), the hotel launched a fourth room category in 2007 to
bridge the gap between its Deluxe and Premier Rooms & Suites, offering travelers
more options to better cater to their needs.
Offering extensive meeting facilities consisting two ballrooms with the grand
ballroom accommodating up to 700 people and 12 meeting rooms catering to
smaller business gatherings, functions at the hotel are supported by a
professional Convention Services team that has coordinated countless functions,
some with the attendance of various dignitaries.
The experience at Marina Mandarin is further heightened by the thoughtful touch
of 24-hour facilities such as the Business Centre, Fitness Centre and its signature
25-metre mineral water pool for travelers from across the globe.

On being awarded Best Business Events and Service Hotel, Mr. Richard L.
