Grand Mercure Nelson Monaco wins the Hanz Supreme Award for excellence (New Zealand)

Grand Mercure Nelson Monaco won the Supreme Overall Award for Excellence at the national HANZ awards for excellence black tie dinner held in Dunedin. The award was presented by the Hon Lianne Dalziel, Minster of Commerce and Mr Bill McLean the president of HANZ. The resort was also judged best hotel in New Zealand. The Hospitality Association of New Zealand runs the annual awards In addition to these two awards Monaco was judged to be in the top three finalists in the Best Restaurant in New Zealand and the award for Excellence in Customer Service. Grand Mercure Nelson co owner Clare Davies says they are ecstatic to have this recognition, We are very proud that the HANZ judges recognise both the care our team puts into serving our guests and the quality of the Hotel and Restaurant facilities Clare says to secure the Supreme Award for Excellence; the top tourism award in the country, when the resort is only just finished is amazing and bodes very well for the future of the property and business. In addition to the HANZ awards the Resort was voted in the top three hotels in the country this week by the People Choice Awards
