ClubHotel Riu Marco Polo opened its door to the public last April 28, 2009. RIU's second ClubHotel in the country is located in Hammamet, in eastern Tunisia and is the chain's third hotel in the city. The sumptuous 460-room resort is one of the hotel chain's most luxurious in Tunisia.

ClubHotel Riu Marco Polo is ideal for families and sport lovers. It offers the All Inclusive by RIU formula, which includes meals and snacks, as well as domestic beverages (with or without alcohol) at the hotel's bars and restaurants until 11:00 p.m. Its main restaurant, “Tunisia”, features a buffet and live cooking, and there are two theme restaurants, “Samarkanda” and “Mediterrannee”, which respectively specialise in Asian and Italian cuisine (open during the summer months). The main restaurant has special themed-buffet evenings 3 times a week. The resort also has 4 bars: a lobby bar, salon bar, swim-up bar and a bar “Plaza”.

ClubHotel Riu Marco Polo offers a wide range of activities and entertainment. Guests can enjoy sports such as tennis, volleyball, table tennis, sailing, surfing and a free scuba diving lesson at the hotel's swimming pools and for an additional fee, they can also play golf or ride horses (100 metres from the hotel). Guests also have access to a gymnasium located in the ClubHotel's facilities.

This resort is also ideal for enjoying wellness and beauty treatments and offers massage services, a beauty salon, sauna, jacuzzi and hammam (for an additional fee).

Furthermore, ClubHotel Riu Marco Polo boasts the RiuLand children's entertainment programme, with new, fun-filled, outdoor group activities organised around two age groups: Club 4.7 and Club 8.12. There is also a daytime and evening entertainment programme for adults.

Other hotel services include a 336 m2 conference hall with a 750-person capacity. With this new inauguration, RIU Hotels & Resorts now has 8 hotels in Tunisia, for a total 2,560 rooms in all.
