Hilton Hotels Corporation (NYSE:HLT) announced today that Jim Holthouser has been named to the position of senior vice president of brand management for Embassy Suites Hotels and that Rebecca Wyatt will succeed him in the position of senior vice president of brand management for Homewood Suites by Hilton. Wyatt previously served as senior vice president of electronic distribution and customer relationship management.

Both Holthouser and Wyatt will report to Tom Keltner, president of the brand performance and development group, and will be based at the company's Memphis Operations Center. In their new roles, Holthouser and Wyatt will be responsible for targeting market share growth, meeting revenue targets, overall brand positioning, brand marketing, and establishing and maintaining brand standards for their respective brands. These changes follow the transition, announced earlier this month, of David Greydanus from senior vice president of brand management for Embassy Suites Hotels to senior vice president of the newly-created Waldorf=Astoria Collection(TM).

Holthouser's 17 years of hospitality industry experience include expertise in the disciplines of market research and analysis, brand integration and brand management. He is returning to the role of senior vice president of brand management for Embassy Suites Hotels after having been tasked in 1999 with invigorating the Homewood Suites by Hilton brand after the acquisition of Promus Hotel Corporation by Hilton Hotels Corporation. While serving as senior vice president of Homewood Suites by Hilton, Holthouser led a growth initiative that brought the brand from 80 hotels to its current level of 170 hotels in operation and an additional 110 hotels in its development pipeline.

Holthouser had previously served as senior vice president of brand integration and planning, helped develop the company's first cross-selling/multi-brand sales and marketing program, served as senior director of marketing for Hampton Inn and Homewood Suites, and led the introduction of the Hampton Inn & Suites brand extension. Holthouser holds a master's degree in economics/political science from the University of Louisville and a master's of business administration from the American Graduate School of International Management.

In her most recent role as senior vice president of electronic distribution and customer relationship management, Wyatt has led a significant increase in revenues through online booking channels while maintaining industry-leading customer service scores, reducing costs and implementing industry-first customer service features. With more than 25 years of experience, Wyatt began her career in the travel industry in 1977 with the Memphis Convention Center. Since that time, she has worked in all segments and disciplines of the industry, including catering/convention services and national sales for The Peabody in Memphis and Swissotel; field marketing and hotel performance support for Hampton Inn, Homewood Suites, Embassy Suites and Doubletree; and she played a significant role in the integration of cross-brand initiatives between Hilton and Promus brands after the two companies merged in 1999.

"I am pleased to appoint these extremely qualified and capable leaders to their new roles as heads of our Embassy Suites Hotels and Homewood Suites by Hilton brands," said Keltner. "I am confident in their ability to enhance the reputations of these brands as segment leaders in guest satisfaction and to successfully position them for continued and rapid development growth."
