CELEBRATION OF SUMMER AT SOFITEL LUXURY HOTELS IN VIETNAM “FETE DE LA MUSIQUE” WILL BE HELD ON 20TH - 21ST JUNE, 2010
To celebrate the arrival of summer, Sofitel Luxury Hotels will organize “Fete de la Musique” - a French celebration of all genres of music - entertaining guests with concerts, dinners and parties to inspire musicians and music lovers everywhere in the world and in Vietnam on June 20th and 21st, 2010.
All over the world, the beginning of summer marks a musical celebration. Amateur and professional musicians are encouraged to perform in the street and many public concerts are organized to introduce new genres of music to the public.
In Hanoi, guests at the Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi will be invited to celebrate at four venues; Angelina Italian restaurant & Lounge, Le Club bar, La Terrasse sidewalk café and Spices Garden Vietnamese Restaurant, where there will be a range of music playing. From a live jazz band led by Grammy Award nominee Jazz Diva Andromeda Turre at Le Club, to Vietnamese folk singers at Spices Garden, live saxophone at La Terrasse and an internationally renowned French DJ at Angelina, guests will experience a wide range of music as well as specially designed cocktails and themed dinners.
Sofitel Plaza Hanoi will celebrate this inspiring worldwide event with an artful fusion between Eastern tradition and Western modernity. As an appreciation of traditional music, Song Hong Bar at the lobby level will feature the performance of Vietnamese “Ca trù”, “Xẩm” and “Hát văn” by famous artists of the genre. Meanwhile, the rooftop Summit Lounge will offer the audience an exploration into world music with the tunes of the legendary Jean Michel Jarre.
In Dalat, at Sofitel Dalat Palace from the 19th June to 21st June 2010, discover a romantic atmosphere at Le Rabelais restaurant with French classical music or enjoy traditional Vietnamese music at l’Atelier du Vin and Lounge. For late night guests, DJ at Larry’s Bar entertains you with his creative beats.
In Ho Chi Minh City, at Sofitel Saigon Plaza, on June 20th , live music performances with the soulful vocal of various Vietnamese singers at Elysee bar. Well-known pianist Nguyen Anh, Saxophonist Anh Vu, Violinist Thien Huong, and guitarist Ngoc Hung will also perform here. Enjoy the tuneful melody of violin at your table which will delight your taste buds with our Michelin star chef Jean-Jacque Noguier at Olivier restaurant. Moreover, an exciting pool party with the famous DJs from DMA Agency will lift up your day under the beautiful backdrop of the dazzling sunset on the 18th floor.
