New Director of Sales and Marketing joins high flying Life Resorts (Vietnam)

While all eyes were on South Africa last month, at least one South African was fixing her vision on Vietnam’s Life Resorts. In June, Hayley Walls joined Life Resorts as its new director of sales and marketing.
The Cape Town-native gained much of her lengthy hospitality experience in her hometown. Most recently, she worked as a sales and marketing consultant to the five-star Taj hotel. Previously, she was regional sales and operations manager for a portfolio of independent hotels around South Africa.
Walls’ career to-date includes stints with two InterContinental Hotel properties in South Africa. In addition, she ran her own business in Cape Town, providing outsourced sales and marketing to the travel and hospitality industries.
Walls’ appointment follows international recognition of the resorts. Late last year, Life Heritage Resort Hoi An won acclaim in Conde Nast Traveler’s Readers’ Choice Awards as one of the 25 ‘Top Resorts’ in Asia, and the top resort in Vietnam.
The Central Vietnam property was also added to the Conde Nast Gold List in early 2010, one of only three Vietnamese properties to be recognized.
