Effective 1st May 2004, Warwick International Hotels is pleased to announce a new affiliated member hotel in its collection: The Splendid Hotel in Nice.
This four-star hotel is located in the city centre and is a short stroll from the sea front, the commercial area, the Ruhl Casino, and the Massena Museum. The Splendid Hotel is ideal for business or leisure travellers desiring to discover the Mediterranean coast and the Provence landscapes.
T he same family has managed the Splendid Hotel for three generations. Mr Eugene Tschann became the owner in 1910, his son Henry followed in 1939. The present Manager, Michel Tschann, is the third generation and holds a doctorate in law from Nice University and a diploma from the Cornell Hotel School in Ithaca, NY.
The hotel has 112 rooms and 15 suites, all with air conditioning, full bathroom, satellite TV channels including CNN and BBC, modem plug, minibar, and hairdryer. The Chez Hugo restaurant features fine Mediterranean cooking with outdoor dining. A Fitness Centre, sauna, solar-heated swimming pool and jacuzzi, situated on the 8th floor, are perfect for rest and relaxation! The four meeting rooms (accommodating up to 100 persons) and a bar with panoramic views of the city are located on the 8th floor as well. Private parking is available.
