The Al Bustan Palace InterContinental Muscat, awarded 'Best in Class' for its excellence in a variety of fields, held a gala dinner to thank its staff for their commitment to quality and their assistance to make the Al Bustan Palace a truly world class hotel.

The special occasion was held in the magnificent Majan Ballroom, and much to the delight of all attending, the dinner 'service' was provided by the executive and senior management of the hotel. The excitement of seeing the Al Bustan Palace's General Manager Antonio Zamora waiting on tables was almost too much for some of the employees to witness.

Pauline Bergé, Area Director of Sales and Marketing for the Al Bustan Palace InterContinental Muscat said: 'It really was a nice touch to have the entire executive management team reversing roles with our staff. It made the occasion special, and re-iterated our objective for the evening: to recognise our staff and reward them for their unwavering commitment to excellence. It was a fun evening but hard work, and also served to remind the executive management team of the extent to which our staff goes to ensure we serve you better!'

Without the current enthusiasm and dedication displayed by all of the Al Bustan's employees, the hotel believes it would not have achieved the 'Best in Class' awards that recently propelled the Al Bustan Palace Intercontinental Muscat to the top of the list of Intercontinental Hotels worldwide.

From over 130 hotels sampled, the Al Bustan Palace was chosen by guests as the 'most likely to be recommended', and received the top awards for 'breakfast and food service', 'room service - quality and speed', 'attractiveness of the lobby', 'cleanliness of common areas' and 'hotel safety and security'.

Mr. Antonio Zamora, General Manager of the Al Bustan Palace InterContinental Muscat and Director of Operations (Oman) said: 'Having recently been recognised for our drive for excellence and our commitment to continually better our services and facility, we held a special evening specifically to thank our staff for enabling the Al Bustan Palace to achieve such a fantastic result.'

The 'Best in Class' awards are an inspiring result to the entire team at the Al Bustan Palace and clearly identifies them as a truly world class luxury hotel. The Gala Dinner evening also demonstrated the Al Bustan Palace's focus and dedication to recognise and reward its employees.
