Supported by the United Nations, the non-governmental organisation AMFORHT works on the development of education in the hotel and tourism sectors, but also provides a platform for encounter, exchange, good practice and cooperation between three main groups of partners from the hotel and tourism industry.
In close partnership with the Accor Hotels Group (the premier European hotel group with more than 3,700 establishments in 92 countries), and principal sponsor of the event, for this latest Forum the AMFORHT will develop an ambitious theme: “Transform our world by education: cooperation, education and development”.
Organised by BBI Luxembourg - International Tourism and Hospitality Management School, in the setting of the Novotel-Sofitel Europe on the Kirchberg, this will be the 22nd edition of a Forum which is already a great success on an international scale.
Combining round tables, visits, exchanges, networking and gastronomic discoveries…, the comprehensive programme will be enhanced by the presence of ministerial delegations from several countries as well as that of Mrs. F. Closener, Secretary of State for the Economy, and Mr. Francesco Frangialli, Honorary Secretary General of the United Nation World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO), both of whom will speak during the second day of the event, which has already attracted more than 90 participants from around the world: from Asia to Africa via the United States and Europe.
If we consider the future development of the tourism and hotels industry, and likewise the number of hotels which will have been built by the year 2020, then the 22nd World AMFORHT Forum can only take on greater degree of importance and its success can only be even more representative of the outstanding dynamism of the sector.
