Rosewood Hotels & Resorts is delighted to announce the appointment of Marie Le Vavasseur to Area Director of Communications in Europe from October 2018. Director of Communications at Rosewood London since May 2016, the promotion reflects her commitment to the brand and the successful implementation of diverse PR and social campaigns in the past two and half years.

Marie will oversee communications at Rosewood Hotels & Resorts’ three European properties: Hôtel de Crillon, a Rosewood Hotel in Paris and Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco in Tuscany, in close collaboration with the internal teams, in addition to her responsibilities at Rosewood London, where she will remain located.

Following a 13 year career marked by some of Europe’s luxury brand leaders, she has become a veritable industry expert with an extensive portfolio both in-house and agency including LVMH Group, Le Bristol Paris and 5* El Palace in Barcelona. Whilst Head of Communications for Le Bristol, Marie led the brand’s 90th anniversary celebrations, resulting in national broadcast coverage and the hotel awarded best hotel in Europe by Condé Nast Traveller. She left Paris for London in 2016 and after a short term as PR manager for luxury restaurant group Corbin & King, she was appointed Director of Communications at Rosewood London.

Marie has been instrumental in strengthening Rosewood London’s UK and international presence through the execution of successful PR campaigns and social initiatives. During her tenure at Rosewood London, her accomplishments include raising £110,000 for the Rosewood Mini Wishes philanthropic campaign, which she pioneered, and spearheading the launch of the hotel’s renowned Art Afternoon Tea, the much-loved Canine Package and Holborn Dining Room’s “Pie Room” as featured in widespread consumer media.

Marie comments: "Growing up in this beautiful family that is Rosewood Hotels & Resorts is a wonderful opportunity. I look forward to contributing to the development of the group's reputation and to continue to consolidate its image, through its European properties, as a leader in luxury hotels”.

Rosewood Hotels & Resorts is a distinctive collection of highly individual, luxurious, residential-style hotels inspired by the culture, history and geography of each locale. Hôtel de Crillon is one of Paris’ legendary palaces and Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco is situated in a UNESCO World Heritage site, while Rosewood London has been consistently recognised as one of the world’s best hotels since opening in 2013.
