Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts veteran Mohamed Elbanna has been promoted to Regional Vice President and General Manager of Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach, with regional responsibilities including his guidance of Four Seasons Hotel at The Surf Club and the future Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences Fort Lauderdale, currently under development.

“I am truly honoured to be a part of our brand’s expansion throughout this celebrated Sunshine State,” says Elbanna. “From the extraordinary teams to the beautiful destinations, each property is a distinctive oceanfront gem.”

A true brand ambassador, Mohamed’s Four Seasons career spans nearly 17 years at properties across the globe. First joining Four Seasons in 2002 on the opening team in Sharm El Sheikh before moving onto Alexandria, he arrived in the US in 2008 at The Ritz-Carlton, Chicago (formerly a Four Seasons hotel). His next destinations would be Nevis and Westlake Village, California before arriving at Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach as General Manager in 2017.

Elbanna quickly made his mark including energising the employee experience, a team that has been awarded the Forbes Five Star accolade for the past 20 consecutive years. His leadership kept the team poised to deliver as the Resort embarked on a recent multimillion-dollar renovation and also earned his promotion to Senior General Manager in 2018. The newly reopened Palm Beach Resort, in collaboration with some of the world’s best design and culinary talent, features interior design by Martin Brudnizki and Florie’s, the first restaurant and bar in the United States in partnership with Chef Mauro Colagreco whose flagship restaurant Mirazur holds three Michelin stars and is ranked third on The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2018 list.

With such recognisable accomplishments, the selection of Elbanna to oversee additional notable brand locations was a natural designation.

The Surf Club’s legendary property and its storied history as a gathering place for the social elite has been reframed and reimagined by celebrated architects and designers for today’s cosmopolitan traveller. An exclusive oasis in the northern area of the Miami Beaches, Four Seasons Hotel at The Surf Club is an iconic oceanfront property, with just 77 hotel rooms and a selection of hotel residences, a world-class Spa and Le Sirenuse Miami and Champagne Bar.

Positioned along the Atlantic Ocean and beaches of Fort Lauderdale, Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences Fort Lauderdale will offer unmatched access to a lifestyle of leading amenities, services and design and will include 90 Private Residences and 130 guest rooms. Having celebrated its groundbreaking in April 2018, the 22-story oceanfront property is slated to open in 2021.

Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences Fort Lauderdale will mark the third collaboration between Four Seasons and Fort Partners, joining Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach and Four Seasons Hotel at The Surf Club in extending the luxury hospitality brand’s presence in South Florida.
