Bill Taylor appointed Regional Vice President and General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong (China)

Category: Asia Pacific - China - Appointments
Press release published on 2019-05-23

Bill Taylor has been named Regional Vice President and General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong, overseeing key properties in Shenzhen and Guangzhou – his first appointment in Asia.

He was most recently Regional Vice President and General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Boston. A veteran hotelier, Taylor’s invaluable insight will ensure the continued success of this Hong Kong landmark.

Taylor’s leadership and guidance was instrumental to the USD 30 million renovation at Four Seasons Hotel Boston. The AAA Five-Diamond, Forbes Five-Star property enriched their luxury experiences by transforming their guest rooms, introducing Four Seasons “Sleep Temple” beds, new lobby art and furnishings, and an expanded bar area in the popular Bristol Restaurant.

Having joined the Four Seasons family 27 years ago, Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong will undoubtedly benefit from his wealth of experience: “I am excited to be able to contribute to the success of Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong, one of the world’s truly iconic hotels. There is a rich legacy to draw upon as we chart our course for an exciting future ahead,” says Taylor.

Born and raised in the United Kingdom, Taylor acquired his people management skills in his role as food and beverage Director at Hanbury Manor London. The year 1992 marked his first Four Seasons assignment at The Ritz-Carlton Chicago (formerly a Four Seasons hotel) cementing his capabilities in the rooms division. Within six years, he relocated to Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta and started his role as Hotel Manager. His life came in full circle when he returned to The Ritz-Carlton Chicago as General Manager in 2004. Subsequently, he moved to Four Seasons Hotel Boston and was promoted Regional Vice President and General Manager in 2013. “I’ve learned to surround myself with people who are very creative,” he notes of his current managerial talent. “Taking that creativity and making it work is key in the hotel business.”

An avid golfer and lifelong fan of the Newcastle United Football Club, he looks forward to exploring Hong Kong with his family, seeking out dining options.
