InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), one of world’s leading hotel companies has signed a management agreement with Jindal Holidays Private Limited for a new Holiday Inn Resort in Corbett, Ramnagar. The hotel will feature 100 keys and is expected to be operational by Q1 2023. As a part of the growth plans, IHG has gained noteworthy momentum in India in last couple of years, with opening and signing of multiple hotels across brands, at various leisure and business destinations, positioning the company as one of the leading hospitality players in the country.

As a premier destination in north India for wildlife experiences, Corbett National Park is estimated to have one of the highest tiger population in the country, making it a popular tourist destination during the holidays and other peak seasons. Adding convenience to both leisure and corporate travelers, the new Holiday Inn Resort will be located at a 20 minutes’ drive from the nearest railway station in Ramnagar town and at a convenient distance from Pantnagar airport.

On opening, Holiday Inn Resort Corbett Ramnagar will feature well-designed rooms and will offer an array of facilities including an all-day dining and a specialty restaurant, a bar & lounge, an outdoor pool and a gym. Additionally, the hotel will feature a business center, boardrooms and an outdoor lawn with a capacity to accommodate around 500 guests. The guest experience will be enhanced with the signature Holiday Inn hospitality, which will reflect the brand’s promise of offering a comfortable stay to guests.

Commenting on the announcement, Sudeep Jain, Vice President, Development, South West Asia, IHG said: “We are delighted to partner with Jindal Holidays for our first Holiday Inn Resort near the oldest tiger reserve in India. Over the years, Corbett National Park has witnessed an increase in the number of visitors as it is well connected with many major North Indian cities. We see this as a great opportunity to offer a world-class, quality accommodation option to the travelers, with the launch of our first resort under the Holiday Inn brand family in Corbett.”

He also added, “Holiday Inn brand family has picked up tremendous momentum in India in the last couple of years and the brand footprint has expanded significantly not only across key cities but also across various holiday destinations in the country. This is testament to the success and popularity of the brand with our partners as well as our guests.”
