“Here on Cam Ranh peninsula overlooking Long Beach, we won’t be saying hello to Jack Frost but we will usher in something for everyone that sparkles, with plenty of jolly good cheer,” said the Anam’s founder Pham Van Hien.
The resort’s program kicks off with an exquisite high tea featuring Osetra Prestige Caviar by Kaviari, foie gras, a bottle of champagne, vodka, chocolate pralines and much more, served at The Colonial restaurant daily between December 21 and January 12 from 11am until 5pm.
On December 23, a Christmas tree lighting ceremony on the resort’s vast lawn overlooking the ocean will be staged from 7pm. Cookies and mulled wine will be served as a choir performs.
General manager Philippe Cavory and his team will host cocktails and canapes on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve on the lawn next to the resort's open-air lobby from 5.30pm. The choir will sing around the Christmas tree on Christmas Eve from 6pm as panettones and honey-glazed ham are served.
The Colonial and The Indochine will unveil seven-course and five-course menus respectively on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve. The Colonial’s menus include lobster ravioli, butter poached Alaskan king crab and A5 Japanese Wagyu beef. The Indochine will serve the likes of butter poached lobster, sous vide boneless turkey ballotine and Black Angus beef short ribs with pan seared foie gras.
Lang Viet will host “Mama’s Cooking” and a seafood barbeque on Christmas Eve, and a barbeque buffet on New Year’s Eve. As part of Mama’s Cooking, mothers of the staff cook Vietnamese classics handed down the generations as if they were cooking for their families.
After visiting many a chimney the night before, Santa Claus will make his first appearance on Christmas Day during a buffet breakfast at the Indochine with mulled wine as the choir sings. Santa will arrive at the Anam’s beach on a boat at 4pm with sweets and cookies in tow, ready for family photos.
The resort’s Beach Club will host a “Beers and Burgers” beach party on December 26 from 2pm to 5pm with draft beers and dishes including “The Chef’s Burger” comprising wagyu beef patty, grilled boneless beef rib, local pickled mushrooms, mozzarella cheese, sliced chorizo, grilled zucchini and red onion marmalade.
On the final day of 2019, music bands will perform at the resort’s various eating establishments and a host of children’s activities will be held at the Kids Club including statue painting, paper hat making and more. After dinner on New Year’s Eve, guests will ring in 2019 at a countdown party at the Beach Club as DJs spin house tunes.
To begin 2020 on a healthy note, freshly squeezed juices will be served during a New Year’s Day buffet breakfast featuring a broad spectrum of freshly baked pastries, fresh fruit, and Asian and Western breakfast starters.
During the festive program, The Anam Spa offers customized spa packages ranging from ‘The Anam Festive Journey’ comprising spa treatments across three days to ‘Kid Spa-tacular’ with choices that include a 40-minute comfort massage, a hair wash and hair braid or nail art.
