CONDÉ NAST TRAVELER today unveiled its highly anticipated 2020 Hot List, featuring both of Auberge Resorts Collection’s newest destinations, Mauna Lani in Hawai’i and The Lodge at Blue Sky in Utah, as two of the best new hotels in the world. The properties join a highly curated list of new hotels and resorts from around the globe, which will be celebrated in the magazine’s May/June issue and on cntraveler.com.

CONDÉ NAST TRAVELER’s annual Hot List comprises an exclusive collection of the world’s finest new hotels and resorts. This year, only 76 hotels were selected to appear on the 2020 Hot List, all of which were personally vetted by editors and contributors who visited hundreds of recently opened properties around the world.

Set on a private 3,500 acre ranch, The Lodge at Blue Sky, Auberge Resorts Collection is Park City’s newest destination for year-round outdoor adventure, endless experiences and luxurious, contemporary accommodations inspired by nature. Sister resort, Mauna Lani, Auberge Resorts Collection, is a secluded oceanfront enclave reimagined by Auberge to celebrate the culture and healing spirit of the Island of Hawai’i’s Kohala Coast.

As we navigate these unprecedented times and dream of traveling and reconnecting with our loved ones, we are grateful for this opportunity to pause and appreciate this great honor that CONDÉ NAST TRAVELER has bestowed upon our two new resorts,” said Craig Reid, chief executive officer, Auberge Resorts Collection. “The Lodge at Blue Sky and Mauna Lani are extraordinary examples of the ways in which a destination and its people can touch the spirit and inspire us all. To know that both of these resorts left an indelible mark on the discerning editors of CONDÉ NAST TRAVELER is humbling. We look forward to welcoming guests back to these special properties very soon.”

Surrounded by dramatic soaring peaks, high alpine fields, lush hillsides and a spring-fed creek, the intimate, 46-room Lodge at Blue Sky, Auberge Resorts Collection invites guests to reconnect with the natural environment with an endless collection of immersive outdoor adventures – from hiking, fly fishing and clay shooting, to horseback riding and heli-skiing. Experiential learning opportunities exclusive to Blue Sky include artisanal whiskey-making at the on-site High West Whiskey distillery, hands-on horsemanship at the 30,000-square-foot indoor equestrian center and up-close animal encounters at Saving Gracie horse rescue sanctuary. The Lodge’s restaurant, YUTA, helmed by James Beard Award-Winning Executive Chef Galen Zamarra, serves cuisine created with ingredients sourced from an onsite organic farm. Deeply restorative treatments at the Edge Spa complement Blue Sky’s active outdoor adventures.

Auberge Resorts Collection’s first property on the Hawaiian Islands, Mauna Lani, Auberge Resorts Collection, redefines soulful luxury along the stunning and storied Kohala Coast. Tucked within the inspired lands of Kalāhuipua‘a – the ancient name of this coastal oasis – Mauna Lani is steeped in rich cultural history. It’s also a piko—navel or spiritual center—situated between Hawai’i’s five great mountains. The summits of Hualālai, Mauna Loa, Mauna Kea, Kohala and Haleakalā rise like guardians around the resort. To gaze upon these peaks and swim in the surrounding crystalline waters is to feel the mana, or spiritual energy, that Hawaiians felt hundreds of years ago. Here, at the piko, friendships are fostered, families reconnect, and curiosities unfold. Mauna Lani carries on the land’s longstanding legacy with enriching cultural immersion, unrivalled adventure activities, extraordinary culinary and wellness experiences and gracious Hawaiian hospitality, all complimented by contemporary guest rooms and suites, including five private bungalow residences.
