The hotel complex, designated as a Leading Spa, includes three restaurants and two bars; the Heiligendamm Spa and Fitness Center with indoor pool; Sauna World, with unisex and women’s saunas; a children’s club; a wedding chapel; and a beach. For conferences and social events, there are also nine meeting rooms and a ballroom.

Completely remodeled in 2006, Mexico’s Hotel Presidente InterContinental Cozumel Resort & Spa overlooks the channel between the island of Cozumel and the mainland. Surrounded by lush vegetation, the hotel has 220 rooms and suites, with views of the gardens, pool or sea. Restaurants include Alfredo de Roma, for northern Italian cuisine; and El Caribeño, serving international fare. Extensive leisure facilities comprise swimming pools, the Mandara Spa, Temazcal Spa, a private beach and children’s club. There are also meeting rooms to accommodate up to 200 people.

Located in the Galleria/Uptown Park area of Houston, Texas, Hotel Granduca is just 15 minutes from the city center and museum district. Opened in autumn 2006, this elegant destination property offers the comfort and facilities necessary for a long-term stay. Inspired by Tuscan villas, the 126 rooms and suites reflect a residential warmth. Catered in-room dining is provided by Masraff’s on Post Oak Lane, adjacent to the hotel. In addition to a health club and swimming pool, there are two meeting and conference rooms.

Tabacon Grand Spa Thermal Resort, in Alajuela, Costa Rica, affords guests a unique tropical experience. A variety of spa treatments and therapies are administered in open-air pavilions in the middle of the rain forest.

The Leading Small Hotels of the World has added the following properties to its roster:

Baglioni Hotel London brings a touch of Tuscany to the Kensington area of the city. With views of the Gardens and Palace, the hotel offers 18 rooms and 49 suites, designed in with warm, contemporary flair. Authentic Italian cuisine is served in the opulent Brunello Restaurant. For getting around town in style, the hotel’s courtesy car is a new Maserati Quattro Porte.
