Summer in the Dolomites begins as the last snowfields on the Alpe Di Siusi melt under the spring sun, ushering a new season at COMO Alpina Dolomites.
On 6 June, the alpine retreat reopens its doors with a new programme designed to captivate fitness and wellness enthusiasts and families alike.
Europe's largest high alpine plateau transforms into a summer haven of bountiful activities and inspiration. With fresh mountain air and spectacular views of Sassolungo and Sasso Piatto, this stunning location at 1,800 meters offers a mild climate, ideal for hikes, e-bike tours or leisurely moments soaking up the breathtaking mountain scenery.
Enhanced family accommodation for families
The Chalet, seamlessly connected to the main hotel building via a guest tunnel, complements its natural surroundings to mirror the mountains and its terrain. Under the direction of Paola Navone of Milan based OTTO Studio, the Chalet accommodation has been fully renovated and reconfigured for the summer season now featuring two signature family suites.
The Dolomites Chalet Suite and the COMO Chalet Suite each offer two bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, spacious living areas and breathtaking views of the surrounding mountain landscape. The interiors are adorned with shades of blue and grey, beautifully complemented by natural wood elements, creating a cozy and relaxing atmosphere for families to enjoy time together.
New dedicated kids program unveiled for the summer
With the new season, COMO Alpina Dolomites invites its younger guests to explore their imaginations. The Play by COMO kids club, new for the summer season, revolves around playful adventures, creative expression, and magical moments.
Available for children aged four to ten, activities include colourful craft sessions to 3D modelling, allowing them to immerse themselves in imaginative worlds - forging friendships, stories and making memories along the way. In addition, families can bond on COMO's new child-friendly themed hiking trail, The Witch Benches Trail and discover the mystical legends of South Tyrol.
For children over 10, families can enjoy complimentary guided hikes that range from easy to advanced, as well as family-focused guided e-biking experiences across the mountain terrain. In late summer, the magic of books also arrives at COMO Alpina Dolomites. From August 25th to 29th, 2025, the "Literature Workshop for Kids – with all senses around the book" by Nadine Schwengenbecher will take place for the first time at the alpine retreat. A unique experience that not only awakens the joy of reading but also brings stories to life for the young and old.
Embracing Wellness at the Heart of COMO Alpina Dolomites
After an active day in the mountains, the COMO Shambhala Retreat invites guests to experience holistic relaxation. Enjoy the serene 22-meter indoor pool connected to a panoramic outdoor pool, an extensive thermal spa experience, specialised COMO Shambhala treatments and comprehensive complimentary activity program.
Families are also catered for with a dedicated spa menu for kids and family yoga classes. From September 18th to 22nd, former international rugby player and breathwork coach Anthony Mullally will lead an exclusive breathwork and mindfulness week. Mullally's sessions will focus on building emotional resilience and enhancing performance, integrating these practices into guests' everyday lives.
From late August to the end of the season in October, COMO Shambhala will introduce two new 3-night wellness package: Alpine Rejuvenation and Active Renewal.
Each package has a specific focus, aiming to realign mind, body, and soul, ensuring guests return feeling thoroughly refreshed and renewed.
