This carefully curated itinerary brings together luxury jewellery, golden sunsets and gourmet cuisine, inviting guests of Piazza della Repubblica's Rocco Forte property to experience some of Florence's most evocative spots.
Accompanied by an expert guide, guests will walk through the historical centre, weaving through cobbled streets to reach the Ponte Vecchio. Located on Florence's iconic bridge, Cassetti has opened the doors of its prestigious workshop, offering privileged access to its private archive.
A remarkable collection is on display, featuring unique vintage pieces including brooches, rings and necklaces – each telling a chapter of Florence's century-old goldsmithing tradition.
As the sun begins to set, guests are accompanied to the banks of the Arno, where a private boat awaits. Gliding along the river with an experienced renaiolo, guests can soak in the magic of the city at sunset as the golden glow reflects the city's palazzi in the shimmering water. A live violinist provides a soothing soundtrack as guests enjoy a traditional Italian aperitivo far from the bustle of the city crowds.
The experience concludes at Hotel Savoy with a late dinner at Ristorante Irene, where Chef Pierangelini crafts refined local specialities paired with golden-hued wines such as Tuscany's white Bàtar di Querciabella and Chardonnay di Monteverro.
“Golden Hour on the Arno” is available until mid October by reservation, only for Hotel Savoy's guests. For bookings contact the concierge team: concierge.savoy@roccofortehotels.com.

Hotel Savoy
Hotel Savoy, a Rocco Forte hotel, is centrally located in Piazza della Repubblica, in the heart of Florence, surrounded by iconic landmarks such as the Brunelleschi Dome, the Uffizi Gallery, and Ponte Vecchio. Established in 1893, the hotel's elegant design has long made it a gathering place for Florence's elite. Its 79 luxurious rooms and suites combine timeless Italian style with modern touches, curated by Design Director Olga Polizzi. Collaborating with local artisans and cultural institutions, Hotel Savoy has become a respected cultural hub. Guests can enjoy authentic Italian dishes at Irene restaurant, and signature cocktails by Maestro Salvatore Calabrese at the Bar Artemisia.
Cassetti Ponte Vecchio
The company was founded in 1926 by Renzo Cassetti, heir to the tradition of Florentine master goldsmiths and silversmiths, in a small workshop on the Costa dei Magnoli in Florence. Today, it is led by the second and third generations, who follow the same principles of professionalism, courtesy, and constant attention to the customer and their wishes. Its production specialized in handcrafted and engraved silverware, creating fashion items for the shops on Ponte Vecchio. The success achieved in the 1950s allowed it to increase production and expand, beginning a transformation process that led the small factory to become, by the 1980s, one of the leading Italian companies in its field. In 1976, the first retail store opened on Ponte Vecchio, at number 54r, and within a few years, three more stores specializing in high-end jewelry. "We were also the first to showcase the most exclusive timepieces alongside precious stones"– says Cassetti. In 2008, a significant evolution occurred, with the addition of the world's most prestigious Swiss watch and jewelry brands to their Ponte Vecchio windows. Today, the company has seven luxury stores in Tuscany.
