Food and Beverage Intern (M/F)
DESCRIPTION OF THE JOB As a Food & Beverage Intern, you will play a key role in ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests. Your primary focus will be the dinner service at the restaurant, but you will also assist in other operational areas when required.
Pre-Service Preparation:
• Setting up the restaurant and dining area for dinner service, including arranging table settings, polishing glassware, and ensuring all mise en place is ready.
• Assisting in curating the wine assortment and ensuring proper stock levels
• Welcoming guests upon arrival, guiding them to their tables, and providing menus
• Preparing aperitifs and ensuring smooth beverage service before the meal
Dinner Service:
• Taking orders and serving food and beverages with attention to detail and a profesionall approach to upselling.
• Offering wine recommendations and assisting guests with pairing options.
• Ensuring that guests receive an outstanding dining experience by being attentive and knowledgeable about the menu.
Collaborate effectively with the chef to ensure seamless communication during service.
• Maintain a friendly yet professional demeanor when interacting with guests during service.
End-of-Shift Responsibilities:
• Cleaning the restaurant, assist cleaning the kitchen, resetting tables, ensuring the dining area is properly organized for the next service.
• Assisting with restaurant closing duties, including securing wine storage and checking inventory.
During the restaurant's closure, you may be asked to support other areas within the Food and Beverage department:
• Breakfast Service: Provide assistance with breakfast service, preparing the buffet, taking coffee and tea orders from guests and preparing hot dishes, ensuring a high standard of quality and guest satisfaction.
• Prepare and serve lunch and/or gourmet platters, maintaining attention to detail and presentation.
• Serving Drinks to Guests at the Pool or Terrace: Deliver exceptional service by serving drinks to guests at the poolside or terrace area, ensuring prompt and courteous service.
PROFILE REQUIRED • Professional English; conversational French is essential
• Driving license is a plus
• A proactive, enthusiastic attitude with a genuine passion for hospitality, food, and wine
• Prior experience in food and beverage service is a plus but not required
• Strong team player mindset, with the flexibility to take on a variety of practical tasks
• A willingness to learn and develop skills in fine dining service.
• Excellent communication skills
• Initiative-taking, autonomous, well-presented
