In the 17th century, Antoine Furetière wrote "Small streams make big rivers". It would seem that The Set Collection has taken ample inspiration from this adage by integrating four of The House Collective's hotels into its collection: The Upper House in Hong Kong, The Opposite House in Beijing, The Temple House in Chengdu and The Middle House in Shanghai.

This integration allows the young hotel group, born in 2021, to establish itself on the Asian continent, particularly in China.

Each property reflects the city in which it is located and perfectly meets the needs of international business and leisure travellers, while offering many attractions to the discerning Chinese clientele.

Located in the most iconic and vibrant areas of each city, each house reflects the China of today. The Middle House in Shanghai is located in the ultra-stylish Nanjing Road West shopping mall, while The Upper House, located atop Hong Kong's Admiralty Pacific Place, offers stunning views of the city. The Temple House in Chengdu is just a 40-minute drive from UNESCO's largest panda sanctuary. Finally, The Opposite House in Beijing is just a few blocks from the most famous monuments in the Chinese capital, including the famous Forbidden City.

In December 2021, Jean-Luc Naret, the Managing Director of The Set Collection, stressed in an interview with Journal des Palaces, his deep desire "to create a new affiliation brand that will become, in a few years, a very fine affiliation brand, such as Leading, SLH or Relais&Châteaux".

Clearly, through this integration of hotels into The Set Collection, Jean-Luc Naret is putting his money where his mouth is...
