India’s luxury hotel sector is witnessing a remarkable surge, with a record number of new 5-star and palace-level properties slated to open in 2025 and beyond.
Over the past year, multiple international and domestic hotel groups have announced ambitious plans, reflecting India’s growing appeal as a global luxury travel destination.
Below is a list of some of these upcoming openings by hotel group, highlighting the finest palace hotels, iconic heritage properties, and cutting-edge luxury resorts coming soon.
Accor Group
Accor announced in April their goal of achieving 300 hotels in India by 2030. Some of these projects include:
The Fairmont Udaipur Palace (Udaipur, Rajasthan), a 327-key hotel, that opened at the start of July 2025.
The Pullman Amritsar, slated to open in 2027 with 200 rooms.
The Raffles Goa Shiroda, set to open by 2030, will comprise 120 luxury villas.
The Raffles will share a beachfront club with the 400-room Fairmont Goa Shiroda, which is also slated to open in 2030.
The Raffles Ranthambore will be a 63-villa ultra-luxury resort and is set to open mid-2027
The Sofitel Legend Sukh Bagh Jaipur, a 300+ key urban oasis, will open late 2028

Dusit Princess Lonavala (Lonavala, Maharashtra) will have 120 keys
The Dusit Princess brand will also debut in Raipur with a 200-key hotel.

Dusit Princess Serviced Suites Kolkata will have 220 rooms.

Two properties under the new Dusit Collection brand will open in Kasol and Manali, each with 40 rooms.

The group is aiming to have a property within a two-hour drive of anywhere in India, some of their projects include:
Radisson Hotel Raipur will be opening Q2 2026 with 120 rooms
The 300-room Radisson Collection Hotel Hyderabad Financial District is set for Q2 2026
Radisson Blu Resort Hyderabad Chevella and its 160 rooms will open in Q2 2026
Radisson Hotel Ujjain will open its 150 keys in Q1 2026

Minor Hotels
Avani+ Sunray Beach Visakhapatnam Resort will be the brand’s first hotel in the country and is slated for a 2028 opening.
This opening is part of Minor’s growth plan to open 50 properties in India in the next ten years.
Hilton Group
Slohh by Roach, Curio Collection by Hilton will open in Bengaluru, Karnataka this year. It will be Hilton’s first lifestyle hotel in India.
The Den Bengaluru, LXR Hotels & Resorts is slated to open in 2026, it will be the first LXR property in India.
Signia by Hilton Jaipur is slated for a 2028 opening and will be the first Signia by Hilton in India.
Conrad Hotels & Resorts is also set to debut in Jaipur.

Ascott is aiming to grow its India presence by almost 60%, bringing their portfolio from seven to 11 properties, notably with the following signings:
The 150-key Oakwood Sensation Dona Paula Goa.
Oakwood Thanjavur, set to open in 2028, will be a 100-unit property.
Opening at the end of 2029, Oakwood Ekana Sportz City Lucknow will be a 350-unit property.
Ascott Ireo City Gurugram will also be the inaugural property under the company’s namesake Ascott brand in India.
The Oberoi Group
The Oberoi Rajgarh Palace, Khajuraho is set to open this year
The 80-key Luxury Oberoi Resort will carry the brand’s name “vilas”
They will also open a 120-key five-star hotel with the Trident branding.
Other notable openings
The Leela Palaces, which is currently made up of 13 properties, is aiming to bring its portfolio to 20 locations.
Hyatt Place Bhopal Rani Kamalapati Station is expected to open Q2 2025
