Vanessa Kong has been promoted from Sales Manager to Director of Sales of Dusit Residence, Dubai Marina, UAE effective 1 December, 2007. A graduate of Kansas State University, USA, with a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, she also pursued graduate studies in Business and Psychology at Mercer University, USA.
She started her hotel career with key posts in Catering Sales, Events Management and Room Sales at luxury and international hotel chains in Malaysia, Singapore and Dubai respectively.
According to Vanessa, “Driving the achievement of the highest sales growth, while at the same time achieving a high level of guest satisfaction is my main motivation at work.” Prior to joining Dusit Residence, she worked at Dusit Thani Dubai, UAE where she proved her sales mettle and resourcefulness in responding to market change and coping with day-to-day challenges.
Vanessa strongly believes in quality sales service both during and after successful tasks, and with her new role at Dusit Residence, Dubai Marina (slated to open in March 2008), she’s confident that with the support of Dusit International and the entire team of Dubai Residence, they will live up to their aim in creating a totally unique experience for guests.
