The Rezidor Hotel Group has signed the 200th Radisson hotel: the Radisson Hotel Jumeirah Dubai which will open its doors at the end of 2009 and add 240 rooms to the Rezidor system. “To have 200 properties in operation and under development is a milestone in our history”, comments Kurt Ritter, President & CEO of Rezidor. “The first Radisson SAS hotel opened in 1960 in Copenhagen – and regarding its growth and services Radisson today is one of the leading first class hotel brands in EMEA.”

Radisson is especially known for its large number of “new breed” hotels – new built properties with contemporary architecture and design, and corresponding to the needs of a lifestyle orientated and sophisticated clientele.

At the same time, Rezidor announces the 50th contract its Business Development team has negotiated in 2007 – the Park Inn Sadu, Moscow with 118 rooms and an opening in early 2008 is the record breaking property. “This has been another very successful year for us”, says Ritter. “Our goal is to open 20.000 new rooms between 2007 and 2009, and we already have secured 85% of those.”

The Radisson Hotel Jumeirah Dubai will be located in the most important area of Jumeirah beach (overlooking “The Palm”) and within the free zone of Dubai Media City where Rezidor also manages the Radisson SAS Hotel Dubai Media City. The company’s third Radisson property in town is the Radisson SAS Dubai Deira Creek, and a fourth hotel is under development as well – this impressive presence will further grow the Radisson brand awareness in the Middle East, and emphasize synergies in sales and marketing. Besides 240 modern rooms and suites the new Radisson Hotel Jumeirah Dubai will offer 2 panorama restaurants on the 37th floor, 13 meeting rooms, a pool, fitness and wellness facilities, and one ballroom. The hotel is 5 minutes away from the beachfront, and 20 minutes from the international airport.

The Park Inn Sadu, Moscow is located right in the city centre of the Russian capital – just 1 kilometre away from the Kremlin and 1,5 kilometres from the Red Square. Adjacent to the building with 118 rooms are the offices of the European Commissions, the surrounding quarter is also home to many embassies. Services at the Park Inn will comprise a restaurant and a bar.
