For the past four years the Rezidor Hotel Group has been in partnership with “Save the Children”, raising funds through global goldpoints plus, its guest rewards programme. During the four-year partnership, over 11 million Gold Points were donated by Rezidor’s programme members to Save the Children. The latest donation of €57,000 will go to an educational project in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), giving more than 800 children the chance to learn and build a brighter future.
Building on its past successes in making education free for the most vulnerable children and reducing the fee burden for others, Save the Children has ambitious plans to achieve dramatic change for instance through its “Rewrite the Future” advocacy campaign, lobbying the governments for change. The funds donated by goldpoints plus will go towards the construction of two schools, provide essential equipment and give more than 800 children an education, offering them a future, stability, hope and economic empowerment.
