Marriott International Has Best Showing Ever at Freddie Awards - Marriott Rewards Named Top Program

Marriott Rewards, Marriott International’s (NYSE:MAR) guest loyalty program, won 10 Freddie Awards in last night’s ceremony, including Best Program in the Americas. The Freddie Awards are announced each year by Randy Petersen, publisher and editor of Inside Flyer magazine, and recognize excellence in frequent traveler programs globally. Results are determined by reader surveys.

Marriott Rewards took first place in the following categories:

Best Program - Americas
Best Customer Service – Americas
Best Member Communications – Americas
Best Member Communications - Europe, Middle East, Africa
Best Member Communications - Asia Pacific
Best Promotion (MegaBonus) – Europe, Middle East, Africa
Best Award (Hotel & Air Package) – Americas
Best Award (Hotel & Air Package) - Europe, Middle East Africa
Best Award (Hotel & Air Package) - Asia Pacific
Best Web Site – Asia Pacific

Marriott Rewards is the industry’s longest continuously running hotel loyalty program. The program’s 28 million members can earn and redeem points at 2,800 Marriott International hotels around the world, including Marriott Hotels & Resorts, JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts, Renaissance Hotels & Resorts, Courtyard by Marriott, Residence Inn by Marriott, Fairfield Inn by Marriott, TownePlace Suites by Marriott, SpringHill Suites by Marriott, Marriott Vacation Club and Horizons by Marriott Vacation Club. Members can also choose to earn airline miles with one of the program’s 30 airline partners.

Marriott Rewards points may be redeemed for hotel stays, frequent flyer miles, cruises, car rentals, brand-name merchandise and more. Marriott Rewards has been named “Best Hotel Rewards Program” by the readers of Business Traveler, Global Traveler, Travel Savvy, Executive Travel and BusinessWeek magazines.
