Lesson with Culinary Professional, Chef Aprons, Access to Indoor Pool & More!

Giving mom and dad a break from event-planning, Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers takes birthday parties to the next level with a destination birthday getaway. The Kids Culinary Birthday Party packages allows kids (ages 6 to 13) to take command of the kitchen, while donning chef aprons, and learn to prepare desserts in a private two-hour session with one of the hotel’s culinary professionals. The guest of honor can customize the dessert theme and will also receive a special embroidered apron as an early birthday gift. The package also includes overnight suite accommodations, use of indoor pool and complimentary parking for mom or dad. The Kids Culinary Birthday Party package starts at $469, based on a party of 10, including one parental guardian.* Optional food buffet consisting of corn dogs, mini pizzas, macaroni and cheese, mini burgers and more is available for an additional cost per child.

The birthday boy or girl can select one of the following customized culinary workshops:

* Ice Age: Ultimate ice cream experience providing a multi-flavor birthday bash. Choice of three ice cream flavors, toppings, round cakes, ice cream base and fruit puree.

·Willy Wonka Chocolate Factory: A hands-on session to emphasize the techniques necessary to make unique molded chocolate pieces and gourmet chocolate confections. Introduction to decorating techniques such as coloring chocolate, spraying, cutting and using transfer sheets.

* Cake Decorating: Learn how to color, create and ice impressive cakes while having fun. Study popular techniques such as basket weave, use of pattern presses, flower making and figure piping.
* Edible Art Gallery: Make innovative art that one can actually eat with edible materials.

Under the tutelage of a culinary professional, guests will learn how to create decadent desserts to enjoy back in the lavish suite. After indulging on special treats, kids can dive into the hotel’s deluxe indoor swimming pool for some aquatic fun.
