The Westin Beijing, Financial Street, The Westin Bund Center, Shanghai and The Westin Guangzhou took home top honors at the 2008 inaugural TTG China Travel Awards held in Shanghai.
The TTG China Travel awards were modeled off the coveted annual TTG Travel Awards for Asia Pacific, and launched this year to recognize the outstanding performers in travel and tourism industry of China. All readers from TTG China, TTG-BTmice China, TTG Asia and TTGmice were invited to vote from January to the end of February. Over 12,600 Asia Pacific TTG readers cast their ballots for their favorite travel and trade organizations.
Over 300 of China’s most influential industry professionals attended the gala event, now set to be an annual affair in which 39 of the best travel and trade organizations in China were recognized.
All three Westin hotels in China were recognized at the much anticipated awards ceremony and won accolades in the following categories, ‘Best Luxury Hotel in Shanghai’ The Westin Bund Center, Shanghai; ‘Best Meetings and Conventions Hotel in Beijing’ The Westin Beijing, Financial Street and ‘Best New Hotel in Guangdong’ The Westin Guangzhou.
