Indochina\'s \'off-the-beaten-track\' boutique hotel group Victoria Hotels & Resorts is investing US$1.2 million upgrading its Victoria Hoi An Beach Resort & Spa and Victoria Can Tho Resort in the Mekong Delta.
On the outskirts of the UNESCO World Heritage city of Hoi An, a US$700,000 facelift for Victoria Hoi An Beach Resort & Spa includes a makeover of 12 Japanese Deluxe rooms with trendy zen design and jacuzzis.
Four Victoria Family Suites will be converted to eight Deluxe Beach Front rooms with connecting doors to maintain the “family” concept, incorporating new bathrooms, jacuzzis and alfresco showers, along with colonial style furnishing and décor.
The upgraded rooms will also be equipped with Wifi Internet and 32” flat screen televisions at the restful retreat which replicates a traditional fishing village, complete with small streets, water ponds and village houses with clay-tiled roofs.
On the banks of one of the world’s greatest and most mysterious waterways in Vietnam’s ‘Deep South’, Victoria Can Tho Resort is undergoing a US$500,000 upgrade.
The splendid colonial-style hotel set in magnificent gardens on the banks of the Hau River in the Mekong Delta is renewing wooden flooring and generally upgrading all 92 guest rooms, including new electronic key cards.
Both resorts assure minimal disruption for guests during the summer upgrades, targeting to complete in fall 2008.
