. . . ALHI Expands International Offerings To 10 Nations

Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI) has expanded the international offerings in its luxury portfolio with the addition of the impressive Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island in The Bahamas. The prestigious membership organization will provide national sales services for the resort to the North American meetings, incentive, convention, and exhibition (M.I.C.E.) markets, according to David Gabri, president and CEO of ALHI.

Featuring an extraordinary tropical setting and a vast array of meeting and recreational offerings, Atlantis is The Bahamas’ largest and most impressive resort, with extensive new meeting and function space recently added to the resort. Widely recognized as a destination resort, Atlantis features such offerings as a phenomenal aquatic habitat with more than 50,000 marine animals, where guests can walk through underwater tunnels surrounded by sharks, and stroll passageways to see stingrays, moon jellies, and piranhas. In total, the resort boasts more than 300,000 square feet of meeting and event space that can accommodate up to 4,000 guests.

Additional resort offerings include the new Mandara Spa; 21 restaurants and 19 bars; the Caribbean’s largest casino with 90 table games and 1,000 slot machines; a seven-acre lagoon; a marina; a comedy club; a 14-acre dolphin habitat where guests can swim with the dolphins; and the 141-acre AQUAVENTURE water park.

Atlantis offers a diversity of housing options for groups of all sizes and needs, including the Royal Towers, Coral Towers, Beach Tower, the new Cove Atlantis, the new Reef Atlantis, and Harborside Resort. The resort’s new world-class conference center features the Caribbean’s largest ballroom, the 50,000-square-foot Imperial Ballroom. In addition, Atlantis features over 30,000 square feet of pre-function space, which includes 26 breakout rooms, two boardrooms, and a large staging area. The resort also offers 20 spectacular outdoor venues that include scenic waterscapes and unique marine habitats as backdrops.

Atlantis becomes Associated Luxury Hotels’ seventh member in the appealing meeting and incentive destination of the Caribbean region, joining: El Conquistador Golf Resort & Casino, Condado Plaza Hotel & Casino, and El San Juan Hotel & Casino in Puerto Rico; AQUA and Fiesta Americana Grand Coral Beach in Cancun, Mexico; and Half Moon in Jamaica.

This new ALHI member in The Bahamas marks the tenth nation, besides the United States, where ALHI National Sales can now assist planners and executives identify and work with exceptional luxury-level meeting and incentive options by simply making one call to an ALHI National Sales office in the U.S. or Canada.

“Atlantis is very anxious to increase the amount of group business to their famed resort, and have looked to ALHI to help with that,” said Gabri. “It is an exceptional new addition to our luxury portfolio, as it is an incredible destination resort with fabulous meeting space and outdoor venues, very good air access, favorable U.S. tax status, and a wealth of recreational options that will appeal to virtually any group. And, most important, they have a ‘Commitment to Performance and service’ to the group marketplace.”

ALHI serves the meetings and incentive industries with its national sales responsibilities for its membership of over 100 premier Four- and Five-Diamond/Star quality hotels and resorts worldwide. With a diverse luxury portfolio of more than 80,000 rooms and suites and over 9 million square feet of meeting space, ALHI enables planners to gain professional one-call access to its outstanding member hotels and resorts which specialize in meetings and incentive programs requiring from 10 to more than 5,000 rooms. There is no cost to planners to utilize the services of ALHI, as its members’ dues fund the organization

Member properties include extraordinary meeting resorts, city hotels, exclusive smaller hotels, golf resorts, historic and landmark properties, island destinations, resorts with spas, properties in international destinations, and hotels with gaming and entertainment.
