A road show to encourage increased business over the summer months recently took place across the Middle East. A number of regional and international Four Seasons sales managers participated.

The road show started on May 25 in Kuwait, followed by Doha, Abu Dhabi, and concluded in Dubai on May 29. In addition to the eight Middle Eastern Hotels, representatives from Four Seasons Beverly Wilshire, Milan, New York, Provence and Singapore also participated in the show, to increase regional interest in these properties.

In addition, the road show participants were able to meet their valued clients in the GCC, whilst also promoting a variety of summer packages to entice them to return in future and reinforce relationships.

During the show, Shaker Akbar, Regional Director of Sales, Middle East, gave a presentation and a thorough insight into new hotel openings this year. Four Seasons Mumbai, set in the centre of India’s largest city, was opened on May 12 and offers breathtaking views of the Arabian Sea from its sea view rooms. The Hotel has 202 generously proportioned guest rooms, a spa with eight treatment areas and a host of dining options and venues.

Other properties in the pipeline – due to open this month – include the artistic Four Seasons Hotel Florence, where each of the 117 sun-filled guest rooms are unique, and Four Seasons Istanbul at the Bosphorus, originally a 19th century palace offering 141 guest rooms.

The third quarter of 2008 will see three more Four Seasons properties opening. These include the luxurious destinations of Bora Bora, Mauritius and Macao. At the end of 2008, two additional Hotels will open its doors to the public: Four Seasons Seattle and Four Seasons Seychelles.

Of most importance to the Middle East region are the openings of Mumbai, Florence, Istanbul, Mauritius and Seychelles, due to their proximity to the region and ease of access with efficient and regular air links from Dubai and surrounding cities.

“It has been a busy year for Four Seasons; in fact it’s been the busiest year in the history of the company in terms of hotel openings. A total of nine hotels will be open by the end of the year, which really reflects the pace of development and increase in demand for luxury hotel rooms around the world,” said Akbar.

The next road show is set for November and will cover six cities: Jeddah, Riyadh, Kuwait, Bahrain, Doha and Dubai.
