Starwood Names New Management Team at Sheraton Denver Hotel (United States)

Officials from Starwood Hotels & Resorts have announced the executive team at the Sheraton Denver. Colorado's largest hotel, with over 1200 guestrooms and over 130,000 square feet of meeting space, is located in downtown Denver at 1550 Court Street.

Mike Ehmann has been named as general manager. Ehmann, a Colorado native, has served for over 25 years in various positions with Starwood Hotels & Resorts, and has held senior leadership positions in Dallas, Orlando, Houston, Phoenix, Tucson and many more cities. Ehmann served most recently in Atlanta as Area Managing Director for Starwood's Southeast Region.

John Cassell has been named as hotel manager. Cassell came to Denver from Overland Park, Kansas where he served as both food & beverage director and director of operations for the Sheraton Overland Park. While in that position, he also served as area director of F&B for Starwood's Southwest Region.

Garin Bethel has been named as director of finance. Bethel has had over 22 years of hospitality industry experience, including over three years in Starwood finance roles at The Westin Tabor Center and The Westin Westminster. Bethel has held leadership positions with Sunstone Hotels, and served as opening controller at the JW Marriott Denver Cherry Creek.

Maria Maxwell has been named as director of sales and marketing. Maxwell has over 19 years of hotel industry experience, including seven years in Starwood sales leadership roles. Maxwell most recently served as area director of sales & marketing for Starwood's Southwest Region.

Renata Voss has been named as director of revenue management. Voss has over 18 years of hospitality industry experience, including eight years in Starwood revenue management roles at The Westin Tabor Center as well as numerous hotels in Starwood's Southwest Region.

Marc Blackford has been named as director of rooms. Blackford has over 11 years of hospitality industry experience, including four years with The Westin Tabor Center where he most recently served as Director of Rooms.

Hans Sebelin has been named as executive chef. Sebelin, born in Germany, came to Starwood Hotels & Resorts from Hyatt where he most recently served as executive chef at the Hyatt Regency La Jolla.

Irene Bell has been named as human resources director. Bell has over 17 years of hospitality industry experience with Starwood Hotels and Resorts, including two years with The Westin Tabor Center and 15 years with the Sheraton Steamboat Resort and Conference Center.
