The Fairmont Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten in Hamburg has recently been recognized a Virtuoso hotel, joining 21 other Fairmont Hotels & Resorts included in the prestigious roster.

Built over one hundred years ago, The Fairmont Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten was the first building on the west side of the Inner Alster Lake and today stands as the number one hotel address in Hamburg. Providing exclusive charm, exceptional personal service, and prominent setting, the hotel is nestled among one of the most desired areas for enjoying the harbor city. Some of Hamburg’s most popular sites such as the State Opera, Congress Centre, and the elegant shopping arcades are just around the corner. Two of the hotel’s restaurants, Doc Cheng’s and Haerlin, have received top Zagat ratings with Haerlin named “Number One for Food in Hamburg,” bringing the city’s top attractions right to the hotel.

All 156 recently renovated rooms and suites are individually decorated to reflect the traditional Hanseatic flair of North Germany, yet are also equipped with modern technical equipment such as a digital telephone extension with modem, cable television as well as Internet access and video on demand. The warm, residential feel of the city-center hotel allows guests to feel at home, yet also provides the comforts of 24-hour room service, a 24-hour concierge desk, a hairdresser on the lower level, valet parking, limousine transfer, fruit bowl and fresh flowers in the rooms, and a complimentary shoe cleaning service.

Just as Hamburg is known for mouthwatering cuisine, the five award winning restaurants at Fairmont Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten are no exception. Featuring a variety of international styles popular with both guests and local residents, Doc Chengs serves up trendy, modern Euro-Asian dishes in a 1920’s style atmosphere, while grilled and regional specialties are the favorites at the Art Deco styled Jahreszeiten Grill, and classical, gourmet French and Mediterranean delights are created at the Michelin Star-studded Haerlin. Guests can taste the full spectrum of delectable Hamburg dishes with casual, outdoor snacks and entrees surrounded by picturesque views from the Jahreszeiten Terrasse and top it off by sampling homemade chocolates and coffee in one of the city’s best-loved coffee houses, Café Condi.

Overlooking the rooftops of Hamburg is the spa and wellness center where guests can relax and recharge in the steam bath, sauna and solarium, or enjoy a rejuvenating massage. Those wishing to raise their pulse a little are well cared for in the fitness areas featuring full cardio and weight training equipment.

Fairmont Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten also houses a wealth of stylishly refurbished party and banquet suites, all air-conditioned, for events such as anniversaries, weddings, seminars and balls, accommodating up to 500 guests.

Continuing its long history of welcoming guests, Fairmont Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten continues to preserve its unique residential character and special services, making it one of Europe’s exclusive retreats and earning its new position as a Virtuoso hotel.
