Guests aboard Seven Seas Mariner\'s May 16 Alaska departure were treated to a bonanza of special events and enough memorable experiences to last a lifetime. The sailing hosted a special Seven Seas Society Summit cruise for members of the Regent Seven Seas frequent-guest group, who participated in focus groups as well as a special Town Hall meeting with Regent Seven Seas executives led by Ken Watson, Executive Vice President, marketing and sales. Other top officials included Alex Sharpe, Vice President, destination and revenue management, and Randall Soy, Vice President, channel sales. The guests provided their personal preferences for the amenities and services Regent Seven Seas will place aboard the new ship the company is planning, and also contributed their thoughts on the Seven Seas Society loyalty program and marketing materials.
As a special feature, Regent Seven Seas presented \"An Evening at The Ballet,\" featuring Charlene Cohen, Courtney Anderson, James Sofranko and Garrett Anderson, all internationally acclaimed professional ballet dancers from San Francisco. Performing classical, contemporary and movie-musical selections, the four offered a 50-minute program featuring styles ranging from classical ballet to contemporary works. Adorned in beautiful tutus, the ballerinas also performed selections from \"Swan Lake\" and \"Don Quixote.\"
The voyage also featured special events including a \"sail away\" party as the ship departed San Francisco, a visit to the Maritime Museum and U.S. Coast Guard rescue in Astoria, Ore., and a exclusive cocktail party at the ship\'s bow for platinum and gold Seven Seas Society members as the vessel sailed through scenic Endicott Passage.
