Mandarin Oriental, New York and FAO Schwarz have joined forces to create exciting new programs to delight hotel guests and valued customers of the City’s legendary toy store.

For the holidays, the partnership provides hotel guests with shopping conveniences and special privileges to help them bypass the inevitable crowds and shopping lines of November and December. For added holiday fun in the hotel’s Lobby Lounge, FAO’s Toy Soldier will host a Children’s Story Hour. Another result of this partnership is the ultimate in gift-giving -- an over-the-top “Kid’s Birthday of a Lifetime” package created to treat the parents as well as the birthday boy or girl.

“When we decided to focus on enhancing our offerings for families and children, we immediately looked to FAO as ‘the best of the best’ to partner with,” stated Kristin Ruble, Director of Sales and Marketing at Mandarin Oriental, New York. “With our close proximity to each other and our “fun-minded” marketing approach, FAO is the perfect partner for us to create a series of events and services that will evolve over time.”

Your child’s grand birthday bash finishes the next morning with a continental breakfast at FAO with birthday party goody bags.
