Dusit International was awarded “The Best Hotel Group (Asia Brand)” in the TravelWeekly (Asia) industry Awards 2008, based on over 2 million votes by both expert judges and TravelWeekly (Asia) readers.
The awards, held in Singapore on 17 July, recognised the best in the Asian travel industry, acknowledging their contributions to tourism in 6 categories; Tourism Products & Services, Tourism-related Entities, Personality, Online & Technology, Marketing Promotion, and Best Employer. Dusit International was nominated in the Best Hotel Group (Asia Brand) - Tourism Products & Services category along with other nominees, including Shangri La Hotels & Resorts, and Taj Hotels, Resorts & Palaces.
