In line with Dusit International’s expansion into overseas markets, this year the company aims to serve its domestic and international hospitality services by starting its 2nd generation of Management Trainees as a fast-track career development for high-achieving graduates, who will help to drive company’s success in the future. The program takes goal-oriented and ambitious graduates to a management role through intensive training sessions, field practices, and industrial placement within Dusit International’s properties across the region.

Mr. Octavio Gamarra, Senior Vice President of Dusit International said, “as we are expanding rapidly to the world’s hotel markets, the need for quality people to serve in each of our properties is essential. People are the core element in hospitality services, and we know that in order to achieve true success, we need to develop their talent to help us strive only for excellence. We have dedicated one of our important tasks to the development of hospitality knowledge as seen in the establishment of our renowned Dusit Thani College, Dusit Executive Development Center, and South East Asia's first and finest cooking education and training - Le Cordon Bleu Dusit Thailand. Similarly, as part of this mission, the Management Trainee Program will help to develop our future generation who will soon become the leaders of Dusit International.”

This year 12 successful candidates have been recruited through a strict process to attend a year long program, which comprises 15 intensive training units such as Marketing & Sales, Public Relations, Food & Beverage, Reservations, Human Resources, Catering Management and others. The trainees will take in-class course for 3 months at Dusit International’s head office, followed by a wider introduction to the company’s business, and field practice at Dusit International’s properties in Thailand for the last 9 months. After finishing the program, they will have an opportunity to select and request for a placement in a position that best suits their competency skills and interests at one of Dusit’s collection of hotels & resorts.
